I stayed at the Furstenhof am Bauhaus for a weekend, my first visit to Weimar. It is a small and charming hotel located close to the center (5 minutes to Goethe's House, 500 feet from the Bauhaus, 3 minutes to the park on the Ilm). My single room overlooked a park and was quiet despite the hotel being located on a main road. The hotel was quite clean and my room was comfortable, if plainly furnished. The staff was uniformly attentive and friendly; all spoke at least some English. The room came with breakfast, for which there was a wider selection than one finds in many German hotels. For this type of European hotel one cannot expect the amenities and facilities of an American-style chain hotel, but it is a more personal and budget-conscious experience. The hotel would not be appropriate for anyone with mobility issues. I was quite satisfied with my stay.

Excellent breakfast good parking and well located for seeing Weimar. Only downside was there is no lift, but over all very good hotel and excellent value for money

Nice hotel in historic Weimar.

Very pleasant hotel. We had two bedrooms and a kitchen (third floor, no elevator).. Easy walk to shops, restaurants, and museums. There is much to do and see in Weimar.

Hotel Fürstenhof was within easy walking distance of the main attractions of Weimar yet in a quiet neighborhood
