What is central and fringe vision?
Vision. The straight ahead part of your field of vision is called your central vision. The vision that is surrounding your central vision is your peripheral vision. The part of your peripheral vision closest to your central vision is called fringe vision.
When driving around a curve you should focus on what?
When driving around a curve, you should focus: through the curve well ahead of your vehicle, along your path of travel.
What can we detect with our fringe vision?
Fringe vision - used to judge depth and position. It provides information about objects close to the travel path and lane position. Use your fringe vision to check reference points and detect changes in your rearview and side view mirrors.
What is a path of travel problem?
Path of travel is the series of continuous positions your vehicle takes in the process of moving to your target. While driving straight ahead you will normally stay in the middle of a driving lane unless other factors affect the position of your car and change your path of travel.
